HAKIM Muhammad Said (1920-98).


It takes Real Courage To Be a Spiritual Leader :

hakim Muhammad said was born in Dehli in 1920. his father was a renowned hakim in India who opened the Hamdard Dawakhana in Dehli in 1906. He died when his son said was only two years old. His mother and elder brother, also a hakim, took over the affairs of the `dawakhana` they nurtured and guided young said in such a way that he grew up to be a great man. 
hakim said graduated from tibia college in Delhi in 1940 and started his practice as a hakim in Hamdard dawakhana. in 1947 , when partition took place , he left India and came to Pakistan , leaving all his wealth and comfort behind . he faced a lot of hardship in the beginning but did not lose his courage because he loved pakistan. in 1948 he laid the foundation of hamdard laboratory, Pakistan in a small room in Karachi. this later became an institution of international repute.
                hakim Said was a vary disciplined person in personal and public life, and a man of exemplary integrity. he as a gentle soul. No one ever heard him speaking in a loud voice . He valued time greatly and was known for his punctuality. he never wasted time and worked for eighteen hours a day. he was a great patriot and worked tirelessly to make  Pakistan a better, healthier, and more peaceful place. 
                he dearly loved the children of Pakistan and, throughout his life, worked towards promoting their health, education, and character  building. he also played a great role in protecting the rights of the children. he published the popular children's magazine hamdard Naunehal, and produce many quality books to instill healthy habits and ethical values in children. 
he provided free medicine to the poor people he treated about five millions patients in his life but never charged any fees.
he promoted the education of eastern medicine known as tibb. he will forever be remembered for establishing madina-tul-Hikmat (the city of wisdom /knowledge) in Karachi, to promote education in Pakistan. 
  He was martyred in karachi in 1998. Honoring his wish he was buried in madina-tul-Hikmat

Abdul Sattar Edhi:

Pakistan has produced some distinguished social workers abdul sattar edhi tops this list He provided food, shelter, and medical treatment to thousand of destitute people and orphans. his ambulance service is the largest in the world and includes an air ambulance service too which can reach remote areas . whenever there is an accident or a natural calamity, his people are the first to reach the affected area. He was an honest, compassionate, and selfless person. he passed away on 8 July 2016.
